by admin on Jan.23, 2010, under Hip Hop

Article Summary:

Some musing about hip hop music mostly from alternative and indy artists.I wouldn’t considered this “one of the best” Black Album remixes but it has it’s moments. An undeniably unique idea that could have worked much better if Noodles & Nic ventured out more than mere looping of Nirvana’s samples. In my opinion Paul Nice’s Black album remix (HERE)

In my opinion Paul Nice’s Black album remix (HERE) is the best of them all.DJ Noodles and Nic Balz put out this gem of a mashup, and surprisingly it didn’t get much attention. Using Jay’s accapellas from The Black Album (and some from Jay’s MTV Unplugged show) with the music of Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged they created an actual mixtape that bears listening to more than once or twice.Gary AndersonDJ Noodles & Nic BalzThe Black Album Unplugged (2004) | 43 MB |Encore b/w “About a Girl”Intro b/w “H to the Izzo”Dirt of your Shoulders b/w “Lake of Fire”Change Clothes feat.
