In honor of his memory I’m reposting his legendary “52 beats” mix…

A true school DJ representin the Bronx, hip hop’s birthplace. For the past few years Roc Raida has elevated deejaying with his Gong DJ Battle. The Gong battles have become proving ground for up and coming turntablists. Check youtube for the vids….some ill sh*t definitely goes down in the battles.Very reminiscent of the early 80’s DMC & NMS battles.

This mix was inspired by Kid Capri’s classic 1992 mixtape “52 Beats”. Capri even does the intro to this mix. Classic beats rocked by the Grandmasta.
