DJ Okawari’s Mirror is pretty stellar musically. Leaning to that soulful jazzy Hip Hop that Japan is known for the partly instrumental album takes the listener on a smooth audio ride. Two tunes that really standout from my perspective are “Luv Letter” and “Free Bird” both which made my best of 2009 list. Okawari’s remaking of Des’ree’s 1994 hit song “You Gotta Be” is pretty good as well. If you like you Hip Hop on jazzy side this album was made especially you. enjoy
